MY KELLAWAY INDEX

These families are from my own Family Tree. The Kellaway link began in Calstock with Susanna Kellaway born 1797. This line goes back through Calstock to Black Torrington and can be traced there to the mid 1600s. At this point the link to the earlier well documented Kellaway/Callaway families of the area is broken (probably due to the disturbances caused by the Civil War). So far it has not been possible to join the two research projects.

The families on this list all have some link to this main line. We know the Black Torrington line, the Halwill line and the Bovey Tracy line have the same DNA profile however in all cases the link must pre–date parish registers for the area.

Tavistock and the Lifton Area were home to several families who descended from the Black Torrington Lines. Pages about the towns and villages where the families lived are also included.
