Thomas C/K made his first "presentation" of a new priest at this church in Dec 1412. In the register of the bishop, he is recorded as "Thomas Kayleway, 'arm.' This is clearly an indication that Thomas was bearing the C/K coat of arms at this date.

Thomas C/K made one more "presentation" on 4 Feb 1417. He died between that date and 20 Dec 1422, when Joan Bingham, the widow of Thomas C/K had already married Wyke. Why did Wyke gain the privilege of making this presentation? It could be only because that Joan's first heir, by Thomas C/K, was a minor.

Roger Wyke "presented" Girard. Rendyll as priest at Sutton Bingham on 29 June 1467. Rendyll died before April 1478 when Joh. Yate was "presented" by Joh. Devyoke. The identity of 'Joh. Devyoke' is not known, nor why he had a right to "present" at Sutton Bingham.
Joh. Yate resigned as priest at Sutton Bingham before 16 Oct 1500, the date Will. Calway, arm. "presented Hen. Fayrman. Hen. Fayrman resigned before 29 July 1505 when Will. Kaylwaye, mil. "presented" Will Tanner, and Will. Tanner died by 5 Nov 1541 when "Hammelus Williams, a.c. per Joh. Kaleway, de Rockborne, Hants, mil." presented Rawlin Radnor as priest. After that the Sydenhams "presented" at Sutton Bingham for more than 100 years.

Thomas married Joan BINGHAM, daughter of Thomas BINGHAM and Mary DE ROMESAY, in 1412 in Sutton Bingham.

The Rockborne family begins with Thomas C/K who married Joan Bingham (heiress to Sutton Bingham and eventually Rockborne manor). We have no date certain for their marriage, but it should have occurred sometime between 1410 and 1412. Thomas C/K gained the "right" to "present" the priest at Sutton Bingham which he did for the first time on 18 Dec 1412 as "Thomas Kayleway, 'arm.' Prior to that the Binghams "presented." The last time Thomas C/K presented at Sutton Bingham was on 4 Feb 1417. On 20 Dec 1422, Roger Wyke "presented" at Sutton Bingham. This indicates that Thomas C/K died between 1417 and 1422. His widow, Joan Bingham Kellaway, married Roger Wyke as her 2nd husband, by 1422.
Apparently Thomas Kayleway never had a claim to Rockborne manor because his wife, nee Joan Bingham, did not inherit her share of Rockborne until the death of her cousin, Joan Romesey, in 1448. We don't know exactly when Joan Bingham Kayleway Wyke died, but her 2nd husband, Roger Wyke, died in 1467. Roger married twice more, 2nd to Joan, daughter and heir to ______ Bisset; and 3rd to Joan, daughter and heir of Thomas Chastelayne of Dennington & Trent in Somerset.
By his first wife, Joan Bingham Kayleway, Roger Wyke had a son called John Wyke. John Wyke married Joan, daughter and heir of John Camill of Shapwick & Charborough in Dorset. "From that day to this Charborough has been held by his descendants"

ADDITIONS TO DUGDALE*S BARONAGE. 156/7
She had been previously married to Walter de Romsey, and upon her death in 47th Edw. III. her son Walter de Romsey, chevr, did homage for the lands of her inheritance 22nd Feb. in that year, and preferred 11, Ss. 2d. for his relief for a third part of the manor of Kidderminster, the manor of Rokeburn, and a moiety of the manor of Combe, by the service of a third part of a Barony, viz. the Barony of Bisset, subject to scrutiny in the Exchequer, and engaging to pay more if more should appear upon sucli scrutiny to be due. Upon search it appeared that
John Bisset, who held the entire Barony in 4 Hen. III. had paid 100 pounds for his relief when it came to him as the heir of his brother William, and that John Bisset, son of John Wotton and Ela, one of the three coheirs, was charged 22/. 14s. 5\d. as his relief for his third. He was therefore told that he must either pay relief for the entire Barony, or shew cause to the contrary; he asked for time, which was granted, and afterwards further extended; but failing to attend, an order was issued to distrain in Michaelmas Term 3 Hen. IV. on which he appeared in Court by attorney; acknowledged that John Bisset, who held the entire Barony, was his ancestor; that it had been divided,
as above stated, between the three coheirs, but alleged that the moiety of Combe, the manor of Rockburne, and a certain manor (quoddam manerium) in Kidderminster, which was scarce one third of the real manor, were all that descended to him by inheritance from his mother; that he does not, nor did his mother at the time of her death, hold the said third part of lands in Wichmalbank, or the third part of the fifty shillings rent in Ireland ; that the said manors of Rockburne and Kidderminster, and the moiety of Combe, are held of the King in chief by the service of two parts of a third part of the said Barony, according to which service he was ready to pay, and to increase the sum if they should hereafter be found to be of greater value; accordingly he proffered another sum of 11. 9s. 2d. in addition to the former, which was accepted/1 He married Alice, daughter of Sir William Fillol, and had issue a son named Thomas, and a daughter named Mary. He died in 8 Hen. V. leaving, by Joanna his wife, only one daughter of her name, an infant of a year old. She married at a very early age, for upon the death of Walter, only
son of her uncle Walter Romsey, Esq. an infant of 4 years in 8 Hen. VI. she was found to be his cousin and heir, by the description of Joanna, wife of Thomas Pownes, daughter of Thomas Romsey, brother of said Walter Romsey, Esq. 12 years old and upwards. She died without issue before 26 Hen. VI. and upon her death Roger Wyke, Esq. in right of Johanna his wife, as daughter of Mary, daughter of Sir Walter Romsey by Alice Fillol above-named, and William Horsey, Esq. as son of Eleanor, another daughter of said Mary, entered into possession, and the said William Horsey died in that year seised of a moiety of the manor of Combe Bisset held of the King in capite by knight service, the manor of Rokeburn by the sixth part of a knight's fee, and a moiety of West Farnham by the same service, leaving Margaret his wife surviving, and Thomas, his son and heir, only
7 years old.
